South African Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago has appointed Dr David Fowkes serve as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) from 12 January 2024. Dr Fowkes was appointed as an Adviser to the Governors on 1 December 2023. He has served the SARB in various positions since joining the organisation in 2013.
