Foreword from the Head of Procurement

The Procurement Division of the SARB aims to support the SARB in achieving its mandate of achieving and maintaining price stability in the interest of balanced, and sustainable economic growth in South Africa, through a fair and equitable procurement process.
The Procurement Division is currently in a transformative period where we are optimising our people, process and systems. Several projects are already underway to achieve this optimisation, including a shift to strategic sourcing, enhancing and streamlining our engagements with both our internal clients and our suppliers.  Our aim continues to be to manage these interactions as a relationship, rather than as a series of transactions.
One of the key initiatives includes more optimal use of our eSourcing Portal and the launch of an iSupplier Portal in August 2019 to a pilot group, with a plan to roll out to all our suppliers over a period of time, in the near future.
We value your continued support and participation during the implementation of these initiatives which will assist us in achieving the triple value of being innovative, efficient and effective, that we stand for.
