Procurement

Foreword from the Head of Procurement

“Delivering on SARB’s mandate of maintaining price stability in the interest of balanced and sustainable economic growth in South Africa is not something we can achieve on our own.
Suppliers are key stakeholders whom we view not just as vendors from whom goods and services are procured, but as business partners with expertise, assets and capabilities that can be used to create efficiencies and innovation.

This shift represents an evolution beyond strategic sourcing for SARB.
It is the elevation of supplier relationship management in our operations in a drive to effectively manage the interactions with our suppliers.  To manage these interactions as a relationship, rather than as a series of transactions.

We therefore encourage our suppliers to engage us with ideas that will enable us to be more efficient, effective and innovative.

Thank you
Sese Chasakara
