In accordance with the policy inaugurated in 1961, the Bank has pleasure in issuing its third annual report on economic conditions in South Africa which, it is hoped, will be found both useful and interesting.The Chairman will make his customary comments and observations on current and prospective conditions in the country at the Annual General Meeting of Stockholders on 14th August, but the more detailed information contained in this analysis will serve as a background to his remarks.
