The South African Reserve Bank has appointed Ms Naidene Ford-Hoon to the position of Head: Financial Services Department, with effect from 19 July 2010. The Head of Financial Services Department is also the Chief Financial Officer of the Bank. She takes over from Mr. Gerrie Terblanche, who goes on retirement on 31 July 2010. Mr. Terblanche joined the South African Reserve Bank on the 01 October 1989. Ms Ford-Hoon is a Chartered Accountant. Prior to her appointment to the South African Reserve Bank, Ms Ford-Hoon has held the positions of Head of Corporate Finance at AFGRI Financial Services (Pty.)Ltd. from 2003-2010 and General Manager: Finance at CEF(Pty.)Ltd. from 1999 to 2003.We wish her success in her career with the SARB as she takes up the new challenge.Hlengani MathebulaHead: Strategy & Communications+27 12 313 4210
