The Monetary Policy Committee meeting for February was scheduled for 26 and 27 February 2004 based on the assumption that the Budget would have been tabled in Parliament by the Minister of Finance on 25 February 2004. As the date of the Budget has been set for 18 February 2004, it has been decided to convene the Monetary Policy Committee on 25 and 26 February 2004. In accordance with normal practice a press conference will be held on Thursday afternoon to announce the decision of the meeting.
