The first day of the meeting will consist of an information session. A number of senior staff members will be invited to participate and give presentations on recent economic and financial developments in South Africa and internationally. On the second day of the meeting the MPC members will meet by themselves to deliberate on the monetary policy stance after which a short statement will be issued.
