The Registrar of Banks ("the Registrar"), being the official regulator of banks in the Republic of South Africa, in terms of the Banks Act, 1990 (Act No. 94 of 1990 – "the Banks Act"), wishes to make the following statement:Pretoria Bank Limited, whose registration as a bank was cancelled on 1 December 1993, was liquidated by the Transvaal Provincial Division of the High Court of South Africa on 17 April 2001. Pretoria Bank Limited was under curatorship, in terms of section 69 of the Banks Act, from 1991 until the above-mentioned final liquidation order was granted by the High Court. Registrar of Banks
